How the planner works
- Enter the expiration date on your license and your renewal cycle.
- Enter the CE hours your licensing board requires for the cycle and the hours you have already completed.
- The planner shows when the cycle started, the hours still needed, how many hours a month keeps you on track and reminder dates at 90, 30 and 7 days before expiry.
- Add the reminders to Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar with the .ics file.
The planner uses only the numbers you enter. Hours, topics and cycles are set by each state board and change over time, so take them from your board’s current rules.
Renewal habits that prevent last-minute stress
- Keep every certificate as you earn it, with the date, provider and hours on it.
- Check which topics your board requires, not just the total hours.
- Confirm whether your board accepts the provider before you take a course.
- Renew early: some boards take time to process renewals, and late renewal can mean fees or a lapse.
Frequently asked questions
Does the planner know my state’s CE requirements?
Not yet. You enter the hours and cycle from your licensing board, and the planner builds the timeline from them. Requirements vary by profession and state and change over time, so always use your board’s current rules.
How do the calendar reminders work?
The planner creates a standard .ics calendar file with reminders 90, 30 and 7 days before your expiration date and on the expiration date itself. Open it to add the events to Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.
Where is my renewal plan stored?
Your entries are saved only in this browser so the plan is there when you come back. If you have a CE Courses Hub account, you can also save the license to your dashboard to get reminder emails.
Do CE Courses Hub courses count toward my renewal?
Each course earns a certificate of completion for its contact hours. No course is approved by a licensing board today, so check with your board whether it accepts a course before counting it toward your renewal.
